Amber is a fossilised tree resin, approximately 50 million years old. The eagle eyed can find amber on our beautiful Suffolk Coast as it was pushed across by glaciers from the Baltic in the ice age.
Opaque Amber is a rarer find as it only occurs when there is a more dense collection of tiny air bubbles inside the amber when it forms.
